Lychee from Zengcheng entertains tourists at Huaqing Palace

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong Back in the Tang dynasty, lychee was delivered from Lingnan to the ancient capital Changan for Yang Guifei, giving rise to a romantic legend. Almost a thousand years later, Xi’an and Guangzhou were once again linked together. Recently, Li Jie, the actress who played Yang Guifei in "The Everlasting Regret" at Huaqing Palace, a 5A scenic spot in Xi'an went to Zengcheng, Guangzhou to pick fresh lychee to bring back to Xi’an. On July 8, over 30,000 tourists visited Huaqing Palace and participated in the lychee-delivering activity. In the scorching summer, locals had a taste of the juicy, cold lychee, enjoying the treatment that was exclusive to the nobles in ancient times. On the spot, a young woman wearing a Tang costume played Feihualing (it was originally a drinking order in ancient China used to punish alcohol for fun.). She asked the audience questions about Zengcheng culture, thereby enriching the experience of visiting the gardens.

盛唐时期，古都长安和山水岭南被荔枝浪漫相连，千年后的今天，西安和广州两座城市在华清宫重新交汇。近日，西安5A级景区华清宫《长恨歌》中杨贵妃的扮演者李洁亲自赴广州增城，挑选新鲜的荔枝带回西安。7月8日，3万多名游客到西安华清宫景区共同参与了“‘荔’经千里，‘宫’候真情——从广州到西安，当增城荔枝遇见华清宫”主题活动。在炎炎夏日里，当地市民游客亲口品尝到来自广州增城最新鲜的冰爽荔枝，享受了一把古代专属于王公贵族的待遇。活动现场亮点纷呈，唐服小姐姐“飞花令”互动以及广州增城文化趣味问答等环节，进一步丰富了游园体验。
