The three-day 2023 China International Travel Mart (CITM) concluded in Kunming of southwest China's Yunnan Province on Sunday, seeing the total deals exceeding 23.4 billion yuan, or 3.25 billion U.S. dollars.

Tourism promotion agencies and companies from 70-plus countries and regions as well as more than 800 travel agents from over 30 countries and regions took part in the weekend event and negotiated with potential clients.

Statistics showed that, as of Saturday, a total of 795 business negotiation activities were held at the mart, and the total on-site sales and intended sales reached 23.404 billion yuan.

China's new national tourism logo "Nihao China" also made its debut at the largest professional travel exhibition in Asia.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China held a press conference on inbound tourism policy on Friday, saying that the visa issuance process has been further eased to facilitate smooth personnel exchanges and support the country's high-level opening up.

The Global Travel Creators Summit was also held during the mart, building a platform of multi-party dialog for travel agents, service providers, tourism groups, airlines, and other participants from home and abroad.

Since it was launched in 1998, the China International Travel Mart has held 23 sessions in Shanghai and Yunnan, earning its status as one of the world's three major tourism marts alongside Berlin and London. It plays a key role in promoting Chinese culture and tourism resources.
