Digital Fuzhou Initiative scores bumper results 2025/5/9 source: International Daily Print

A press conference on progress in the Digital Fuzhou Initiative, which was held on April 29, announced a slew of achievements. To name a few, Fuzhou has pressed ahead with building of the talent innovation base under the Digital China Initiative, issued the first nontax revenue fiscal electronic receipt for data assets in Fujian Province, and boasted planned homegrown computing power of up to 400P in the intelligent computing center.

ADC Information Industry Development Co., Ltd. and Digital Fuzhou Group have recently established a strategic cooperation to build the talent innovation base under the Digital China Initiative, and foster an ecosystem for cultivating personnel adept in digital technology. Prioritizing key pain points arising in digital transformation of industrial chains, the two parties will adopt the three-pronged coordinated mechanism, in which the talent chain energizes the innovation chain, and the innovation chain drives the industrial chain, to create a Fujians model of building a digitally-savvy workforce and provide a new paradigm for industry-education integration under the Digital China Initiative, which can be transferred elsewhere.

In February this year, the Fuzhou Base Station Control Point concluded the first compensated transaction of data assets among administrative or public institutions in Fujian Province and issued the first nontax revenue fiscal electronic receipt worth RMB100,723.2. After the revenue from the paid use of data assets was handed over to the state treasury, the move has marked that data started to generate fiscal revenue and opened a new chapter for Fuzhou to advance the administration of data assets.

It is announced in the conference that Fujian Electronics & Information (Group) Co., Ltd., a company affiliated to Digital Fuzhou Group, has built and put into operation the Fujian AI-powered Intelligent Computing Center, the sole national new-generation AI innovation platform (under preparation). With planned homegrown computing power of 400P, 140P of which has been currently available, the Intelligent Computing Center is primarily established to provide users of all kinds with AI-powered intelligent services across scenarios and dimensions, and has taken the lead in Fujian Province in achieving high-efficiency adaptability to full component models of DeepSeekR1 and launching an open API.  (Liang Kaihong)
