Fuzhou hosts the 8th World Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs Conference

The 8th World Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs Conference was held in Fuzhou from June 17 till Junne 18. Moe than 1,600 Fujian-origin entrepreneurs from home and abroad and guests from all walks of life gathered together to share the common affection for their hometown, seek development paths and exchange opinions on future growth of Fujian-origin entrepreneurs.

Themed “Pooling the Strength of Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs, Forging Ahead in Solidarity”, the event was intended to put up a platform for Fujian-origin entrepreneurs to express the attachment to their hometown and strive for win-win cooperation by holding multiple activities such as the Chinese and Overseas New-Generation Fujian-Origin Entrepreneurs Conference, the Fujian Provincial Promotion Event for Business Investment Attraction, the Fujian Matchmaking Conference for Using Finance to Facilitate the Development of New Quality Productive Forces.

To help foster greater solidarity among the new generation of Fujian-origin entrepreneurs, the Chinese and Overseas New-generation Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs was held for the first time during the 8th World Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs Conference.

It is worth mentioning that the 8th World Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs Conference and the 23rd China Straits Innovation and Projects Fair, which was held at the same, were deeply integrated and formed a synergy. Fujian-origin entrepreneurs had first-hand communication on technological issues with academicians, experts, universities and scientific research institutions such as Tsinghua University and Harbin Institute of Technology, and exchanged opinions with many state-owned enterprises on ways to promote in-depth integration between scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation. By participating in these events, they were fully impressed by the favorable and appealing business environment in Fujian.

The World Fujian-origin Entrepreneurs Conference, an event held triennially with an aspiration of having a foothold in Fujian and reaching out to the globe, has grown into an important platform to carry forward the spirit of Fujian-origin entrepreneurs, pool the strength of Fujian-origin entrepreneurs, promote opening-up, enhance efforts to establish the fellowship and attract business investment, facilitate project matchmaking and cooperation among chambers of commerce, and push ahead with the cause of high-quality development in Fujian.  (Jiang Hai)
