Fuzhou Airport T2 is inviting global businesses

The second terminal building (T2) of Fuzhou Changle International Airport has recently kicked off its efforts to invite business. The terminal, which plans to launch about 20,000 square meters of commercial space, will be completed and begin operation in 2026 as scheduled. This marks that Fuzhou Airport will officially adopt the utterly new development paradigm featuring dual terminals + dual runways.

The T2 building, a principal part of the second phase of Fuzhou Airport construction, will be officially put into use in 2026. On June 23, Fuzhou Airport launched an event to invite businesses across the world for the commercial space of the T2.

The Fuzhou Airport T2 boasts a total of about 20,000 square meters in commercial space. Initially, an area of about 5,200 square meters will be developed, where a variety of business activities such as retail and catering will be housed, and retail, catering and experience of multiple services will account for about 46%, 42% and 12%, respectively. In regard to commerce-culture integration, Fuzhou Airport has plans to locate well-established brands, including Juchunyuan and Baorui, in T2, and will introduce the Happiness Culture Experience Center to present Fuzhou in the airport in an aim to promote cultural-tourism transformation and consumption upgrades.

The Fuzhou Airport Integrated Transport Center, a hub connecting T1 and T2, is scheduled to be completed and begin operation in August 2027. Located between T1 and T2 and with a straight-line distance of about 200 meters from the two terminals, the project is about three-minute walk from T1, T2 or south and north parking lots. Upon completion, the GTC project will combine multiple means of transport, including F1 subway, F2/F3 high-speed railway, online-hailed cars, airport shuttle buses and private cars, and will be provided with executive hotels, catering services, retail and business offices, thus enabling passengers to have seamless transfers between air, land and railway transportation.
