The largest offshore oil and gas platform in Bohai Sea areas departs 2025/6/14 source: International daily Print

The central processing platform built by Qingdao-based Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. for the Kenli 10-2 oil field cluster development project (first phase) recently departed from Qingdao Port in Shandong Province, marking that the platforms landside works have all been completed and offshore activities are about to begin.

With verified geological reserves of more than 100 million tons of crude oil, the Kenli 10-2 oil field is the largest oil field discovered by China in the sea. The  three-story and eight legged multifunctional central processing platform integrates manufacturing with living. With a height of 22.8 meters, a projected area as big as 15 standard basketball courts, and a designed weight of over 20,000 tons, it is the heaviest and largest offshore oil and gas platform in Bohai Sea areas. In consideration of considerable difference in quality of crude oil in varied sections of the Kenli 10-2 oil field, the central platform has been provided with both thermal production and cold production systems as well as over 240 sets of crucial equipment, and is therefore included among production platforms in Bohai Sea areas with the most sophisticated technological process.  (Wang Kai)
