In the just-concluded Dragon Boat Festival holiday, a traditional Chinese festival, new tourism scenarios in Qingdao went viral one after another, bringing the sense of relaxation and novelty to citizens and tourists.
There emerged new appealing recreational modes for beer, which is one of the most distinctive tourist icon in Qingdao. In the three-day-long Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the “Tsingtao Beer Exchange” caused a stir on the internet. In the jam-packed block, the constantly changing beer prices made viewers itch to have a try. Constant updates on fluctuations in prices of more than 30 kinds of beer, which comprise Tsingtao crude beer, Tsingtao draft beer, Tsingtao white beer, 4th Brewery fresh beer, and grape, lychee, nectarina and passion fruit-flavored beer, crated such an extraordinary atmosphere that both citizens and tourists were captivated. In this “Qingdao Beer Exchange”, prices moved in accordance with sales, and people just need to scan codes to taste fresh beer immediately. An increasing number of informed citizens and tourists flocked to the place. Some netizens said jokingly that visitors outnumbered beer that could be served. The combination of sea breezes and brisk beer at 20-plus degrees centigrade was so enjoyable that tourists exclaimed that traveling in Qingdao was refreshing and couldn’t help giving Qingdao a thumbs up.
The Qingdao Olympic Sailing and Marine Culture Tourist Areas launched a mass celebration in the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Tourists wearing Han costumes, who grabbed the spotlight, took pleasure-boats to enjoy spectacular views in the areas where traditional folk customs mingled with coastal scenery.
The addition of novel elements such as the “AI-enabled Xiangzi Chat Room” and the 3D exhibition hall made the Former Residence of Laoshe increasingly popular among visitors. A traditional incense cultural experience salon in the Former Residence of Zhao Taimou interested a number of citizens and tourists to learn to discern medicinal herbs and make perfume satchels.
