Recently, 24 travel agents from various Russian cities arrived in Qingdao for an inspection tour focusing on cultural tourism and business cooperation. The event represents a key practice of Qingdao's new "culture, tourism and business" dual-driven model, leveraging the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA) to promote two-way tourist flows and deeper business resource sharing.

Qingdao offers a unique blend of coastal leisure, wellness tourism, and high-level business facilities. The city is ideal for Russian visitors seeking a mild seaside escape, while its conference venues and cross-border service capabilities appeal to business travelers. The two sides aim to build customized products that combine sightseeing with business meetings.

The delegation's first stop was the Qingdao SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, where they toured the Russian national pavilion and learned about local trade advantages. At a dedicated promotion event, Qingdao highlighted its core assets: Laoshan wellness tourism, Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center coastal recreation, historic city walks, and immersive Tsingtao beer culture, as well as premium hotel event spaces, multilingual services, visa facilitation, and logistics hubs.

During their stay, the group visited historic districts, the Tsingtao Beer Museum, and high-end hotels. They also experienced the Fushan Bay light show. The Russian representatives praised Qingdao's resources and announced plans to design integrated packages of business trips and seaside vacations.

By deepening cooperation with cities around Lake Baikal, Qingdao is paving the way for a model of cross-border cultural tourism and business exchange between China and Russia.
