City Fly enables tourists to see sights from different altitudes and is therefore becoming a new sought after tourist project in Qingdao. Through the program, tourists can enjoy a fascinating aerial view in a helicopter, relish speedy parachuting from the azure sky, and become immersed in the joy of watching a drone formation light show.

“It is such a memorable experience to overlook Qingdao from the air as the wider horizon engenders remarkably different views.” Zou Rong, a tourist from Guangzhou, lingered around after he experienced aerial sightseeing in the Golden Beach Resort. The Qingdao Golden Beach Aerial Sightseeing Camp, which saw the maiden flight in May 2024, receives up to 300 tourists in a single day.

Geared towards the “sweet economy”, the Home of Aircraft Helicopter Laoshan Flight Base provides different kinds of flying solutions to proposal and confession of love, and rolls out varied flying experiences according to seasons and festivals. The Cangma Mountain Aviation Campsite gives broader play to the “steering” experience. Under the instruction of captains, tourists can sit inside the steering room to see how numerical values change on instrument panels or even try to steer joysticks. The campsite has launched a lot of scenario-based courses so that inexperienced amateurs can smoothly go through flight lessons under video and voice instructions and manipulation assistance. Since it began operations, the campsite has received tens of thousands of aviation enthusiasts.

Tourists can take helicopter or hot air balloon on Xiaomai Island, an internet-famous site in Qingdao, to have a panoramic view of the most beautiful coastline. Thanks to the stunning nightscape along Foshan Bay, Qingdao, fascinating tourist programs combining “helicopter + hot air balloon” and “daytime + nightscape” have gone viral on the internet once they were introduced. A maximum of more than 200 landings and take-offs was recorded in a single day, and nearly a combined total of nearly 10,000 tourists have been received.
