Qingdao Today
Seizing the favorable recovery in civil aviation, Qingdao Airport saw a cargo throughput of 47.7kt in the first quarter, increasing by 11.71% year on year. International and regional cargoes amounted to 20.8kt, up 16.6% year on year. To date, Qingdao Airport has successively launched ten international freight air routes to New York and Toronto, etc., covering Asia, Europe, America, the SCO member states and the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
With the resumption of guarantee procedures for inbound cargo and the rising cargo volume, Qingdao Airport continues to speed up delivery for inbound cargo. For inbound express, delivery can be taken on the same day of entry, and handing over to agents has consumed 150 fewer minutes than before; for inbound general cargo, 10 hours can be saved compared with the time consumed previously.
With summer and autumn flight seasons on the horizon, Qingdao Airport plans to launch successively freight routes to Inchon, Bangkok, Vladivostok, Memphis and Chicago. When the time comes, Qingdao Airport can connect with more countries and regions, with an international freight route network that covers Japan and South Korea, links up with Southeast Asia and extends to Europe and America.
