About 300 brands will gather in Qingdao for the 2026 China International Consumer Electronics Exposition, which will focus on smart homes, smart healthcare, and artificial intelligence.

The expo will run from Sept 4 to 6, local authorities said at a news conference on Aug 26. It is hosted by the Shandong provincial government and jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the Qingdao municipal government. Six exhibition areas will cover 60,000 square meters.

A smart healthcare zone covering more than 10,000 square meters will debut, with AI-powered massage robots, mobility and rehabilitation aids, health assessment systems, and exoskeleton gait-training equipment among the exhibits.

New products will also be featured. Haier will display an AI sports exoskeleton and a cooking robot, while Hisense will present its Moii companion robot series. Other exhibitors include Unitree Robotics, DJI, iFlytek, Canon, NIO, IM Motors, and Denza.

More than 20 supporting activities are planned, including technology seminars, business matchmaking, and an esports competition. Buyers from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Southeast Asia, and countries participating in Belt and Road cooperation will be invited. An online platform will also connect exhibitors with procurement opportunities.

First held in 2001, the expo has staged 22 editions, reflecting Qingdao's transformation from a home appliance manufacturing center into a hub for smart terminal innovation.
