ON Tuesday, the China Global Television Network (CGTN), China’s State broadcaster, released a video featuring Piotr Polska, a Polish vlogger who has called Shenzhen home for a decade. In the video, Polska, a Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassador, responds to a Brazilian’s question regarding China’s clean energy development, drawing on his personal experiences of living and working in China.

Brazilian architect Joao Eduardo Colares had raised the issue through CGTN, asking whether China is truly advancing in new clean energy technologies after reading a story about a Chinese electric car brand that is planning to build a factory in Bahia, Brazil.

In the video, Polska emphasized Shenzhen’s remarkable utilization of green energy, underscoring China’s significant achievements in transitioning towards sustainability.

“Shenzhen stands as a testament to the fact that ambitious, clean energy goals can be achieved. In this city, all buses and taxis have gone electric. This helps dramatically reduce pollution and showcase a future where sustainability and technology go hand in hand,” Polska said.

He also highlighted the fact that China is pushing the boundaries of clean energy technologies, from solar panels to wind turbines. “They are leading the charge towards a great future,” Polska said.
