MOTORSPORTS legend Robby Gordon was forced to postpone his much-anticipated show at the GBA Auto Show again yesterday due to poor weather conditions.
Heavy rains already thwarted his performance at the event Sunday and yesterday, much to the disappointment of eager onlookers.
The mastermind behind the groundbreaking Speed UTVs is scheduled to dazzle crowds with his exceptional talent today and tomorrow, if the weather permits.
Gordon took the opportunity to engage with enthusiasts during a press conference at the auto show yesterday.
As the distinguished face of Speed UTV, a motorsport vehicle dealer, he captivated spectators with his unwavering dedication and innovative vision for these cutting-edge vehicles.
“I think this auto show is an excellent display... The auto show was the right place for us to be,” he said.
Amidst glitzy displays and revving engines, Gordon highlighted the interactive experience offered by Speed UTVs and emphasized the thrill of showcasing the vehicles’ capabilities — from jumps to drifts and everything in between. “The outside speed zone over here is a lot of fun,” Gordon said.
When asked about his thoughts on the electric vehicle (EV) industry in Shenzhen, Gordon expressed his admiration for the technological marvels on display.
“Obviously, this is a big EV show. I see a lot of electric vehicles, some hybrid vehicles, and then we have our vehicle, which is essentially a flex-fuel vehicle,” Gordon noted, positioning Speed UTVs as a unique player in the landscape of auto innovation.
The legend also reflected on his previous experiences in Shenzhen, including a visit to renowned drone giant DJI. Gordon was impressed by the engaging interactions at the auto show. Despite the weather playing spoilsport, Gordon recalled the bustling scenes from the day before, where the excitement of motorsports gripped attendees of all ages.
Delving into the potential of motorsports in China, Gordon lauded the country’s diverse landscape and burgeoning automotive culture. He expressed a desire to see the off-road market and accessory companies flourish alongside the EV wave.
