QINGDAO - The “Future Lies with the Youth” Trip of CSULB Delegation from Long Beach, U.S. to Qingdao, China is in full swing. On the afternoon of January 10th, 12 representatives of teachers and students from California State University, Long Beach visited Qingdao University of Technology to gain a deeper understanding of its history, characteristics, and achievements.
Here, they visited the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, where they witnessed the impressive demonstrations of the robot team and the formula racing team. They also visited the Intelligent Construction Laboratory of the School of Civil Engineering, experiencing AR and VR devices, as well as the application of information technology in civil engineering. During the activity, there were constant exclamations of surprise. The American students expressed that the laboratory equipment and teaching were very advanced, and the racing and robot technologies were also impressive. They enthusiastically participated in on-site experiences and took photos as souvenirs.
The activity is jointly initiated by Qingdao City and its American sister city, Long Beach City, aiming to promote youth exchanges between China and the United States, and enhance mutual trust and friendship among the people. During the event, the student delegation of California State University Long Beach Branch visited Tsingtao Beer Museum, Qingdao Port, Paper Cutting Studio, Qingdao Peking Opera Theater, and Laoshan Academy to experience the local customs, humanistic atmosphere and modern development of Qingdao in an all-round way.
