On June 27, the cruise ship "Mediterranean" from AIDA Cruises, reputed as an “artistic ship”, arrived once more at Qingdao via Shimonoseki, Japan, following its successful operation in Qingdao from March to April this year. Afterwards, the cruise ship "Mediterranean" will set sail in Qingdao as the port of departure and make four voyages to Cheju in South Korea and Fukuoka in Japan, each of which will last five days and four evenings.

“A dozen of members from my family come specially to Qingdao for traveling by cruise ship. After the journey by cruise ship, we plan to have a tour in Qingdao.” Mrs. Huang, a tourist from Guangxi, who was waiting for boarding in the Qingdao Cruise Home Port Passenger Transport Center, looked forward to the coming journey by cruise ship.

To deliver cruise ship traveling enthusiasts more wonderful vacation experience, the cruise ship "Mediterranean" has launched distinctive voyages on opera, Guandan (a popular poker game in China), electronic music, study trips and Weiqi. Popular DJs were invited to offer a music feast to tourists in the 2024 first electronic music festival on the sea, which was held in the voyage departing on June 27. The voyage dated July 9 could see a classical Italian opera concert, the premier performance by Central Conservatory of Music on a luxury cruise ship.

With the arrival of the "Mediterranean", Qingdao’s summer season for traveling by cruise ship unfolds. The cruise ship “Blue Dream Melody” from Shanghai Blue Dream Cruises will start operating in Qingdao from this August to September, followed by the ship “Dream” from Orient Cruises from October to November. They will offer tourists more tailored and top-quality cruise ship services.
