The Geely Future Travel Constellation Project, contracted and operated by Qingdao Geesatcom Technology Co., Ltd., recently finished its first overseas deployment and testing for communication commercialization in the Sultanate of Oman, and will join hands with many global top operators to initiate worldwide commercialization of the constellation program. This also marks the first time for China’s commercial low-orbit satellite constellation to realize satellite communications overseas.

It was the first application test launched by the Geely Future Travel Constellation program to facilitate commercialization across the world in a fast and high-efficiency manner. Probability of communication success and network availability, two important indicators for satellite communication, hit 99.15% and surpassed 99.97%, respectively in the test. Additionally, the satellite terminal can withstand 50dB disruption and can therefore receive stable satellite signals amid a hostile electromagnetic environment. Furthermore, the Geely Future Travel Constellation program, which boasts a safe, reliable and stable two-way satellite communication link, can ensure that data are transmitted in a high-efficiency and real-time manner and fully sustain connectivity of all things.  (Wang Meng)
