Chinese travelers made an estimated 362.58 million cross-regional passenger trips on Monday, the last day of the Spring Festival holiday, representing a 4.7-percent daily decline from Sunday and an 11.9-percent increase from the last day of the holiday last year.

On Monday, the country's railway system handled an estimated 18.5 million passenger trips, up 1.2 percent from the previous day and up 8.6 percent from the same day last year.
An estimated 339.83 million driver and passenger trips were made on China's road system on Monday, marking a 5-percent daily decline and a 12-percent increase year on year.
Of these trips, an estimated 35.21 million were made by commercial passenger vehicles, while 304.62 million were made by private vehicles.
It was estimated that a further 1.6 million passenger trips were made by boat on Monday, down 4.3 percent from the previous day and up 31.2 percent year on year.
China's civil aviation sector transported an estimated 2.65 million air travelers on Monday, marking a 0.2 percent daily increase and a 6.9 percent year-on-year increase.
The Spring Festival marking the start of the Year of the Horse fell on Feb 17 this year. The official holiday lasted nine days from Feb 15 to 23, with the travel rush period lasting through March 13.
The Spring Festival travel rush, also known as "Chunyun," is said to be the world's largest annual human migration, as millions embark on journeys across the nation to reunite with loved ones for celebrations to mark the arrival of the Chinese New Year.
