The 2023 15th Qingdao International Sailing Week & Qingdao International Marine Festival is being held in the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center and will last from August 11 till August 20.
As Asia’s largest sailing event, the Qingdao International Sailing Week has seen a comprehensive upgrade of its conventional “top three regattas”. To be specific, the Qingdao International Regatta has been included into the race system of the Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) and re-branded as the 2023 “ASAF Cup” Qingdao International Regatta; the “Mayor’s Cup” International Regatta has transformed itself from a purely course race to “an inshore race plus a course race”; the Qingdao International OP Sailing Cup and Regatta is greeting the arrival of young camp members from across the world after a lapse of three years.
This year’s Qingdao International Sailing Week & Marine Festival has launched more than 30 race, exchange, cultural and sporting, commercial and trade, convention and exhibition and popularization events summarized as “nine regattas and one camp” and ranging from sailing races, marine recreational tourism, ceremonies of cultural activities, Olympic sailing cultural exchange, sailing and marine industry and sailing popularization, aimed at drawing international guests and teams to Qingdao for exchanges and contests and enlarging the international “circle of friends” of Qingdao sailing.
