The Qingdao municipal bureau of cultural tourism recently launched a series of tourism products named “touring Qingdao in films and TV series”, aiming to build Qingdao into an internet-famous film and TV-themed tourist destination from the following three aspects.
Visiting internet-famous sites in the old urban area of Qingdao is recognized as the most preferred route to admire Qingdao’s cultural heritage, which starts from Qingdao Railway Station and passes via Luxun Park, the Former Site of Qingdao Exchange, Dabao Island Cultural Leisure Block, Badaguan Scenic Area and Textile Valley. Such film and TV works as Mobile Phone, Romance of Our Parents and Once Upon a Time in Tsingtao were produced along the route. Many popular movies and TV shows including Gold Marriage and Ocean Friends were set in Badaguan Scenic Area.
To admire the fashionable city of Qingdao, we can start with Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis, and then pay visits to Lingshanwei, the Ferris wheel known as the “eye of Qingdao”, the TAG Art Museum and the Qingdao Liuting International Airport. The Wandering Earth and Creation of the Gods, two milestone works in the history of Chinese movies, as well as the hot broadcast TV series Ordinary Greatness were produced in Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis.
To enjoy cultural landscapes in Qingdao, we can start with the Laoshan Mountain Scenic Spot, and then visit Qilan Haiju, Cangkou Park, Lubang International Style Street, Tiantai Hot Spring Resort. These sites integrate natural endowments with internet-famous attractiveness in a perfect manner. A few outstanding works such as You Are More Beautiful Than Starlight and My Fight with Marriage were photographed along the route, which appealed to a number of stars in the reality TV show the Night of the Greater Bay Area.
As for Qingdao, a world “film city”, “touring Qingdao in films and TV series” is likely to unfold the city in front of tourists in a brand new manner.
