The Three-Year Action Plan for Building Qingdao Film and TV Base with High Standards (2024-2026) was recently released. After its inception, the Qingdao Film and TV Base will sustain its efforts to bring in industry-leading programs or enterprises, press ahead with the construction of a “science and technology-based movie metropolis”, appeal to a larger number of professionals and put in place a high-tech film and TV technology service system and strive to rank among the first batch of demonstration bases for innovation in the Chinese film industry.

 According to the Action Plan, Qingdao will make an all-out effort to build a demonstration base for innovation in the Chinese film industry, add more than 400 film and TV enterprises, generate a revenue of more than RMB 10 bln in the film and TV sector and related industries by 2026, and move faster to become a world-class tourist destination for film and TV culture.

Over recent years, Qingdao has pooled film and TV industry-related projects with a total investment of nearly RMB 300 bln, introduced more than 1,000 film and TV enterprises of all kinds and built largely a film and TV industry cluster across the entire chain.  (Wang Kai/ Yi Tao)
