Since the park city construction initiative was launched in 2022, Qingdao has taken the priority to execute three skeleton greenway projects, and improved over time the greenway system featuring “one greenway, one ring and three mountains”, namely, coastal greenways, the ring of urban greenways and greenways surrounding Taiping Mountain, Fushan Mountain and Wushan Mountain. Qingdao has by far developed 205 kilometers of coastal greenways, 14.5 kilometers of urban greenways and 43.4 kilometers of greenways encircling the above three mountains. A total of more than 260 kilometers of greenways have created the unique cityscape of Qingdao which integrates mountains and seas.

   As guided by the overall planning for park city construction, Qingdao will give play to its natural endowment featuring mountains, seas and cityscape, and pool resources to accelerate renovations of all kinds in an effort to build an environmentally friendly city where the vast masses can enjoy mountains and seas, and see ubiquitous greenness.  (Liu Dong)
