【Fuzhou Evening News】The fifth China Design Excellence Awards, presented by AIA Shanghai were recently unveiled. Youth Square, an internet-famous site at the Heart of Minjiang River, clinched a winning prize, the latest significant award among eight ones it secured in the past six months.

The Youth Square was put into the category of “Adaption recycling/renovation/protection of history-architecture”, where only winning prize and shortlisted prize are established. The renovation of Youth Square received the only winning prize in the category.

Since September 16, 2022, the renovation of Youth Square at the Heart of Minjiang River has been honored with 7 titles, namely gold award in the 2022 Global Future Design Awards, gold award in the 2022 World Design Awards, silver award of urban design in the specialist group of the 13rd Yuanye Awards International Competition, one of the top 10 landscape projects in the 2022 ELA International Landscape Awards, first prize in the Eduwik Architecture Excellence Awards 2022, silver award of urban design in the 2022 U.S. Muse Creative Awards, and the most outstanding award of urban design in the Architecture Master Prize.  (Li Jinqing)
