Pure happiness on “Fu Street”
The “Fu Street” has emerged as a popular internet-famous site, driving up consumption initially, since its first phase went into operation. Its second phase’s planning and construction is in rapid progress.
Across the Youth Square, Heart of Minjiang River, the “Fu Street” is enclosed by Jiangbin West Avenue, Zhongping Road and Qingnian Horizontal Road. Fu culture-related elements are everywhere on the street. Quite a few squares such as “Wan Fu”, “Wu Fu” and “Ju Fu” themed squares, are associated with “Fu” , a symbol of happiness and auspiciousness in traditional Chinese culture. The squares offer sites of leisure and recreation for citizens and tourists at ordinary times and see a variety of folk culture activities on holidays and festivals.
With a favorable geographic position, the “Fu Street” , located at the central axis of the city and connecting the Shangxiahang Historical and Cultural Block and the core area of Heart of Minjiang River, has drawn quite a number of citizens and tourists, thereby spurring consumption. The “Fu Street”, boasting various Fu culture-featured consumption scenarios, attracted over millions of visitors and generated over RMB10mln in transaction in the 2023 New Year’s Day and Spring Festival holidays, thus shoring up market confidence and facilitating recovery across industries.
Furthermore, the “Fu Street” will continue to tap into Fu culture, introduce craftsmanship factors to put up sites of display for intangible cultural heritage skills, embrace new forms of operation to open Fu culture-themed Guochao (Chinese fashion trend) IP shops, give play to “Fu culture +” to seek presence in the cultural and creative industry and other related industries. The street’s second phase’s planning and construction, which will create more highlights, is in rapid progress. ( Zhang Haoqing /Zhao Zhengyan)
