The eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province forged great success at the third Conference of Great Business Partners (CGBP), with 14 projects signed involving a total investment of 52.21 billion yuan ($7.6 billion).

These projects cover industries like next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, integrated circuits, new energy, new materials, digital economy, and modern logistics, which will inject new vitality into Qingdao's high-quality development, said Qingdao officials.

Themed "Forging Partnerships for High-quality development in Shandong", the third CGBP was held in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, from March 28 to 30. It featured nine themed activities, including an opening ceremony and six parallel forums.

On March 28, Qingdao held a city promotional event in Jinan, which was attended by a number of government officials, as well as senior representatives from Fortune Global 500 companies and large-scale multinational corporations.

On March 30, a group of business leaders took part in an inspection tour of Qingdao where they learned about the city's social and economic development, business environment, and investment policies.
