The “digital Great Wall” where visitors can “travel through time and space”, the 3D version A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains and the giant dragon who can fly though walls and the virtual broadcasting scenario where the background can change anytime, etc. In the 2023 Qingdao Digital Culture Application Development Expo, the exhibition pavilion of cultural industry digitization prioritized displaying novel cultural modes and products including digital creativity, digital broadcasting, digital recreation, digital art and digital collection, and more than 80 industry-leading Chinese companies such as Tencent, Himalaya and China Comic Animation Game Group showcased application scenarios and typical cases of cultural industry digitization, exposing digital intelligence to visitors. The pavilion of the integration of science and technology with cultural tourism collectively displayed digital technologies of leading Chinese tech enterprises and their widespread applications in culture and tourism, extending the development boundary of cultural industry with limitless science and technology.
On the back of its cloud gaming technology, Tencent has managed for the first time in the world to restore digitally cultural heritage of the largest scale in a millimeter-level, high-precision, immersive and cross-interactive manner. Visitors can travel around the Great Wall virtually as well as repair the Great Wall online. In the booth of Inspur, the Inspur virtual broadcasting integration system enables synthesis, rendering and output of multi-video layers including 3D scenarios, images and PPT in real time, and generates virtual broadcasting scenarios featuring low delay, high frame rates and high-definition pictures. In the digital version of A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains, jointly developed by a cultural creation company and the Imperial Palace Museum, visitors can utterly immerse themselves in the work. The dynamic capture device of China Comic Animation Game Group, which has a total of 15 capture points, combines optics with inertia technology in an innovative manner, and can drive any virtual man or any image in real time with the help of a laser positioning tower and a set of wearable devices. As the current most leading-edge research field, the digital human faces generation and animation platform, which also made its appearance in the expo, can help solve difficult problems in creation across all walks of life by combining with many intelligent tools including animation production, video creation, digital human broadcasting and graphic design, and provide the general public with popular and low-threshold creative content production tools. To cater to the needs of cultural conservation institutions and museums, Hikvision resorts to intelligent IOT and big data to gather security, fire fighting and anti-thunder data in cultural relic protection, aimed at perceiving and identifying in an intelligent manner potential hazards for cultural relics safety and enabling cultural relics conservation institutions to use information technology to keep their archives.
