The World Economic Forum has recently released its latest list of global lighthouse factories. 15 factories have been newly selected, representing the world's most advanced manufacturing and supply chain operations. Eight of them are factories based in China, including Qingdao CIMC Reefer Container Manufacture Co Ltd. and the Ririshun Qingdao Smart Logistics Park. Qingdao now boasts 10 lighthouse factories, the most in China.
This year’s new additions are from multiple countries and regions such as China, the USA, Switzerland, India, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, and span a broad range of sectors from new energy, high-end manufacturing, biological medicine, shipbuilding industry, cold-chain logistics, daily chemical industry to nuclear power. Qingdao CIMC Reefer Container Manufacture Co Ltd., which performs efficiently in its production capacity upgrading, is among the new additions as the world’s first lighthouse factory in the container industry. Thanks to its progress in supply-chain resilience, the Ririshun Qingdao Smart Logistics Park is included in the list as the first large-item supply chain lighthouse factory in the global network, and is China’s first company in supply chain science and technology to clinch such great honor.
