Lingnan Lion Dancing, an intangible cultural heritage performance by an emerging dance troupe from Macao, was staged in the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, Macanese Cuisine presented the charm of Macao as a city recognized in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of Gastronomy, and the Macao tourism industry delegation promoted their tourism products. The Macao Week in Qingdao, Shandong Province, a five-day-long roadshow from June 8 to June 12 co-sponsored by Qingdao and Macao, provided Qingdao citizens and tourists with one-stop access to the culture of Macao.

Over the recent years, Qingdao and Macao have deepened exchanges and cooperation in economic and trade ties, cultural tourism, MICE industry, etc. Qingdao is the first city in Shandong Province to open a direct air route to Macao. As of the end of 2022, Macao has cumulatively invested 81 projects in Qingdao, with actual Macao capital utilization of USD130mln. As of the end of March 2023, 7 Qingdao-based companies issued securities in Macao, with an aggregate volume of RMB10.9bln.
