On June 10, the Qingdao Diaoyutai Hotel and the MGM Grand Qingdao were put into operation.

The two super five-star hotels, the first dual-brand project of Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality, are located in the twin towers in the Shanghai Industrial Investment Center (SIIC) at the core zone of Laoshan District, Qingdao. With a height of 201.8m, the towers are designed by the globally prestigious KPF’s New York office on the notion of Chinese-style pagodas in appearance.

The two hotels are of different charms and show unique ingenuity. The Qingdao Diaoyutai Hotel, delicate and graceful-looking, sticks to the Chinese philosophy and way of hospitality and accords guests with courteous reception with distinctive Chinese characteristics. By contrast, the MGM Grand Qingdao is full of vigor and vitality and features two hues, namely red and green. The graceful red hue embodies Qingdao’s time-honored red-tile roofs and urban memory while the green hue is an indication of Qingdao’s beautiful natural environment.  (Yi Tao)
