A triplet of tiger cubs, including one white Bengal tiger and two rare variant of snow tigers, made their public debut recently in a wildlife park in east China’s Jiangsu Province.
The cubs were born on Sept. 30 of 2022, after their mother, a white tiger at the Nantong Forest Safari Park, was naturally conceived.
The white tiger is an albino individual produced by the genetic mutation of the Bengal tiger. It is extremely rare because of its small number.
The snow tiger is a rare variant of the Bengal tiger as a result of further genetic mutation. The probability of occurrence is about one in 100,000.
The three cute little beasts have no name yet, so the safari park has launched a name-collecting campaign on the internet.
