"Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force," the second installment in the "Creation of the Gods" trilogy, made its debut in France on Wednesday, receiving wide appreciation among local audiences.
Ahead of another round of screening on Thursday, Boris Pugnet, the film's distributor in France, explained why he chose to present the film to French audiences, emphasizing the rich culture it bears and the spectacular visual effects.
"We chose to distribute 'Creation the Gods' simply because we were very impressed by the film, by its ambition, the spectacular aspect, and the cultural aspect too. We have never seen this type of film in France, and I think that Chinese commercial cinema is taking on an extraordinary dimension, and that we, for our part, wanted to offer this film to the French public because it is one of the most impressive films this year," said Pugnet.
His decision was validated as audiences leaving the screening had been expressing their amazement, stunned by the majestic scenes and special effects.
"Magnificent, really magnificent. It is breathtaking. I was amazed. It is a marvel. A real pleasure. It is epic," said Ben Smith-Roberts from Paris.
"It is really incredible, in terms of special effects, scenes, and action sequences. It's really great," said Xavier Baudel, another Parisian audience.
