Guangdong to build a vast modern marine pasture industrial cluster

Guangdong province is speeding up the construction of modern marine pastures, focusing on cultivating a trillion-level modern marine pasture industrial cluster.

In Raoping County, Chaozhou City, the construction of the first batch of the modern marine pasture project called "Certified Spotted Seabass (Lateolabrax maculates) Fisheries Onshore" has gained momentum. Once the project is completed, the production of high-quality fry can reach 300 million per year, making Guangdong completely get rid of the external dependency on breeding seedlings.

Guangdong explores the development model of modern marine pasture and combines it with biotechnology to ensure high growth in marine health food, cosmetics, biomedicine, and other fields, enabling one fish to produce the value of multiple fish.

“德海1号”、“海威1号”、“澎湖号”……当前，广东正加快推进现代化海洋牧场建设，着力培育万亿级现代化海洋牧场产业集群。

在潮州市饶平县，目前正加快建设的现代化海洋牧场第一批项目“岸上花鲈良种场”，建成后年培育优质花鲈鱼苗可达3亿尾，可让广东彻底摆脱花鲈养殖种苗对外依赖。

广东积极探索“现代化海洋牧场+”发展模式，并与生物科技结合，在海洋保健食品、化妆品、生物医药等领域广泛应用打造新的增长点，让“一条鱼”产生“多条鱼”价值。
