"Legend of White Snake: Love" hits the stage again!

"Legend of White Snake: Love", a hit Cantonese opera, was recently staged at the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Art Center. With its poignant love story, beautiful stage design, and unique Cantonese opera singing style, the play drew flocks of young viewers offline and online from all over the country.

In just over two hours, the viewers witnessed the fabulous performances of popular characters like Bai Suzhen who dared to love and hate, Xiao Qing who was straightforward and brave, and Xu Xian who was passionately devoted. Even the villain Fa Hai was no longer that "black and white". The opera built an ultimate romance that "everything has animism, all living beings have feelings".The emotional performance moved many to tears, earning a round of thunderous applause and cheers from everyone immersed in the play.

Since it premiered in 2014, this opera has been staged more than 100 times, gaining a large number of fans from across the country. The movie based on "Legend of White Snake: Love" won more than ten domestic and foreign film awards, breaking the box office record for Chinese opera movies. This helped many young film buffs understand and fall in love with Cantonese opera. #artandculture

日前，粤剧《白蛇传·情》在广东粤剧艺术中心上演。该剧以凄美的爱情故事、唯美的舞台设计、独具韵味的粤剧唱腔，吸引了全国各地的年轻观众慕名前来观看。

短短两个多小时的粤剧《白蛇传·情》，让观众看到了敢爱敢恨的白素贞，率直勇敢的小青，一往情深的许仙，不再是非黑即白的“反派”法海，构建了“万物有灵，众生有情，世间皆美”的极致浪漫。情之所至，不少观众甚至眼含热泪。演出打斗精彩之处，掌声雷鸣、欢呼不已，台上台下，都沉浸在戏中。

据了解，粤剧《白蛇传·情》从2014年创排、首演至今，演出已超过了100场，收获了大批粉丝。而粤剧电影《白蛇传·情》，一举拿下国内外十多个电影奖项，打破了中国戏曲类电影票房纪录，吸引了很多年轻人关注粤剧、了解粤剧并喜欢上粤剧。
