Art and Culture | Ou Minquan is a local “post-80s” resident of Shuanggang Village in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. He has worked at the district’s cultural heritage conservation station for eight years. Well known among local villagers, he spends his days “searching” for cultural relics across Huangpu District, checking their condition and reporting any issues for restoration. In his spare time and evenings, he is almost always on the dragon boats. Cultural relics and dragon boats are very different—one is still, the other is dynamic. Why have they become his greatest passions? A reporter visited Shuanggang Village to talk with him. #artandculture
