Qingdao recently issued an invitation for bids for R&D and manufacturing enterprises and scientific research institutes related to embodied intelligent robotics, intelligent rehabilitation equipment and elderly-friendly products as well as entities engaging in elderly care, rehabilitation and disability-friendly robotics and intelligent products (including prototypes) to get accommodated in the Qingdao training and verification center for embodied robotics and intelligent rehabilitation products in the sector of wellness.

This marks that China’s first public training and verification platform that specializes in wellness scenarios has entered a new stage of operation on a large-scale and regular basis, and Qingdao is accelerating efforts to grow itself into a wellness-themed bay area in China.

Since its launching in early 2025, the Qingdao training and verification center for embodied robotics and intelligent rehabilitation products in the sector of wellness has become an indispensable site for testing of wellness technology prior to clinical practice. In only a few months, the center, whose exemplary role has initially emerged, attracted the arrival of 217 products from 45 quality enterprises from home and abroad, including Haier, Hisense, Qiangnao Technology and Teinyo Medical Robot.
