A total of 195 projects in Qingdao commenced construction in Jimo district, Qingdao on Feb 26, along with other major projects across Shandong province.

The projects focus on sectors including high-end equipment manufacturing, new-generation information technology, infrastructure, and livelihood security.

Project construction is key to promoting high-quality development. This year, Qingdao has identified 440 key projects at the provincial and municipal levels, with a total planned investment of 1.04 trillion yuan ($144.55 billion).

Qingdao remains attractive to multinational companies, with companies such as AstraZeneca continuing to invest in the city. AstraZeneca recently began construction on an inhalation aerosol production base project in Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total investment of $700 million.
