On June 4, the China National Innovation Center for High-end and Smart Household Appliances launched in Qingdao the first large model in the vertical domain of smart household appliances.

Based on outstanding large foundation models at home and abroad, the above large model in the vertical domain of household appliances, launched by the national innovation center, is aimed at providing household appliance makers with a full-stack solution package ranging from model training to application and development. Furthermore, the model can sustain core business operations such as marketing, planning, R&D, production and after-sales services, explores in a keen way to launch housework robots fit for large models under multiple scenarios, thus facilitating the digital transformation of household appliance manufacturers. In addition, the model is able to provide customization, private deployment, technical consulting and other services depending on business needs, in an effort to push ahead with the initiative on smart household appliances and digital transformation of businesses.

The National Innovation Center for High-end and Smart Household Appliances, the sole national center for manufacturing innovation in the sector of household appliances, specializes in R&D of key generic technologies on household appliances. Over the two years after its inception, the center has made a combined total of more than 20 technological breakthroughs, and scored five world-class achievements, with priority given to technologies regarding noumena, intelligence, safety and scenarios. The center has been sustaining efforts to build nine open laboratories and four public industrial service platforms, the bulk of which have gone into operation and provided services to more than 150 companies.  (Yang Guang)
