With the theme “New Productive Forces Promoting Development, Intelligent Technology Shaping the Future”, the 2024 China Automation Congress (CAC), which was recently held in Qingdao, drew the participation of more than 3,000 guests from academia and industry.

The event comprised a total of ten keynote reports, in which a few academicians and experts shared their insights into such cutting-edge issues as industrial internet, brain-machine intelligence, smart education and intelligent robots. 46 parallel meetings were held simultaneously, covering “Innovative Development of Brain-Machine Interface and Brain-Machine Intelligence”, “Cutting-edge Theories and Technologies of Smart Environmental Protection”, “New Digital-enabled Diagnosis and Treatment” among other topics. A special exhibition on AI innovation achievements was held in the event, where a number of enterprises showcased their newly-launched “eye-catching” products including Optical Motion Capture System, quadruped robots and biped robots.

Since its inception in 2009, 15 years ago, the CAC has been among China’s most influential academic events in sectors such as automation, instruments and apparatus, aeronautics and astronautics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and intelligent manufacturing.  (Wang Shifeng)
